 Albinus Jan – mgr, pochodził z Erfurtu w Turyngii. Studia wyższe ukończył w Wittenberdze i Lipsku (tu uzyskał stopień magistra). Około roku 1600 przyjechał do Prus Królewskich, a od 1601 r. już uczył w Malborku. W latach 1602-1604 był sekretarzem Rady Miejskiej w Tczewie. Od roku 1604-1609, w II klasie Gimnazjum Elbląskiego uczył greki i poezji. Był autorem kilku oracji, wierszy, epigramatów i aktów scenicznych dla miejscowego teatru szkolnego. Po odejściu ze stanowiska Baltazara Fellgiebela, mimo dużej konkurencji uzyskał urząd konrektora. Zmarł 11.09.1612 r.
